How to get the right size and make shopping easy.

Every Little Windmill product has its own size chart on the listing, with the fabric and how it fits. Use this guide to find your starting size, then check the piece you love.

How to measure (soft tape, over light clothing)

• Height — standing against a wall, no shoes. For bubs, lay them flat, crown to heel.
• Chest / bust — around the fullest part, under the arms, tape level and snug.
• Waist — around the natural waist (just above the belly button for littlies).
• Hip — around the fullest part of the bottom.

The quick check: lay a favourite top flat, measure armpit to armpit and shoulder to hem, and compare with the product chart.

Our golden rules: between sizes, tall for age, or buying ahead? Size up. Wash cold and line dry in the shade — our cottons hold their size best when they skip the dryer.

Baby (0000–3)

Buy by length first, then check the chest.

Straight = waist and hips close in proportion · Curvy = a smaller waist with fuller hips. Choose by bust for tops, and by your fullest measurement for dresses.

How the fabric changes the fit

65% polyester / 35% cotton polo knit	All polos, polo rompers, polo dresses	Holds its colour and shape and barely shrinks, but has only a little give. Girls' and baby polos sit neat — size up when in doubt.
95% cotton / 5% spandex	Embroidered tees	Stretches and springs back — no saggy necklines. True to size.
100% jersey cotton	PJs, jumpsuits	Soft and stretchy; relaxed fit.
100% waffle cotton	Onesies	Natural stretch, sits close like a sleepsuit. Choose by length.
71% cotton / 29% polyester fleece	Hoodies	Soft, cut generously for layering.
Denim & corduroy	Jeans, bloomers, cord trousers	Firm at first, softens with wear. Adjustable or elastic waists for growing room.

If you're unsure, please contact us via our "Contact Us" page and we'll happily measure the piece for you. Please read our Return Policy — we cannot return items due to change of mind, and depending on stock, incorrect sizing ordered may not always be able to be returned.

SIZING/SHIPPING for pre-order.

Pre-order is available for some listed items, that will be clearly marked in title name and it is a great way to purchase items before anyone else snaps them up! When you check out and have order both in stock and pre-order items in your cart. Your pre-orders will be shipped when items come into LWCC HQ and your in-stock order ship to you with your pre-order also. When pre-ordering clothing, please allow the 2-5 week wait on items and consider your little one may grow in this period. It is best to order the size up in clothing, if you are concerned with sizes.

If you order is delayed or longer then 5 weeks we can either refund you your money or help track down your missing parcel.

Please be mindful if you would like your other items prior to your preorder to process a separate cart.

SECONDS conditions.

Seconds will be on our sale collection page, when they become available. Any damage or issues will be described on each item. Most seconds are samples, sizing issues or small defects. These items once purchased, can NOT be refunded, exchanged or given credit on.

CARING for your garment.

Our Label garments are designed in Australia and ethically made offshore. We do source some products within Australia and internationally. This is to help you, as our customers to save money and get unique style of clothing. We pride ourselves on quality, affordable children’s clothing.

To get the most out of your little persons clothes we ask you to follow the care label attached. Please take care washing, be aware some items have beads, ribbons and need to be specially looked after when washing. Small parts should be kept away from young children, due to choking hazard.

Our Garments are all carefully inspected and checked prior to sale for defaults. Due to our large quantity of stock coming through Head Quarters some small defaults could be missed. We are only human and hope you understand. We ask you to please see our returns policy for more information regarding default returns

POSTAGE when does it get shipped?

Orders will be dispatched from Little Windmill Clothing Co, within 5 business days of placing and payment is received. *Due to high volumes of orders on new releases, dispatchment of your order maybe up to 7-10 days of placing order! If you require an order posted asap please select express postage, this will be shipped same day or next day dispatch. Australia post aim to have you receiving your order within 4-10 days, and express postage orders within 3-5 days. (Orders are normally a lot faster than this outlined period, depending on location).

Please make sure all your mailing information is correct, as Little Windmill Clothing Co will not take any responsibility for incorrect order details when making a purchase. If your item is returned to us due to incorrect address, we will re-send the item at an extra expense to the customer. If the item does not return then we will not offer refund/exchange.
